Adhaalath Party has stated that the government stops whatever they want to stop but are doing nothing regarding violence crimes.
Addressing a press conference held at the party headquarters party Shidhatha said that the crime rate has increased to record levels and three people have been murdered in cold blood within then days.
Shidhatha said that crime rate has not been curbed by the Police because of the lack of proper laws. She said that there are enough laws.
“What they lack is a sincere intention,” she said.
Shidhatha emphasized that the excuse by the government that existing laws are inadequate to maintain peace, is not acceptable.
She said that even last year, laws were endorsed in the manner the government desired, but without any results. She said that peace has not been established because such laws are not being implemented.
