Former Managing Director of STO, Adam Azim has said that framing people by planting guns and harassing them in the middle of the night are not mentioned in the manifesto of PPM.
Adam Azim made this remark speaking at the public rally entitled “Maldivians against Tyranny.”
He said that the government came with a manifesto but are contradicting that manifesto now.
“For certainty I know that the manifesto they came with did not mention anything about arresting those who come out to the streets advocating for their basic rights. There is nothing mentioned in the manifesto to harass those who serve the government by planting weapons in their houses and terrorizing their families,” he said.
He said that the government is also doubling all the taxes after claiming power by deceiving the people with an economical manifesto.
Azim said that the government is making the youth to join gangs and do all kinds of mischief after coming to power claiming to have a manifesto that includes many provisions for the youth.
