Speaker of the Peoples’ Majlis, Abdullah Maseeh has that there is no country in the world where everything is perfect.
Maseeh made this remark speaking at the breakfast held to the media by the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker.
He said that there will be difference of opinion among the people regarding matters.
Maseeh said that the United Kingdom known now as one of the best democracies in the world today has a leader who is not appointed by the people.
He said that the leader of Canada and Australia is not even from those countries. “It is the Queen of United Kingdom Elizabeth the second,” he said.
He said that all countries known as champions of democracies all have their flaws. He added that all those countries are working to resolve those issues.
The Speaker expressed hopes that Maldives will be developed as today’s developed democracies.
