President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom President has today returned the Bill on Amendment to the Prison and Parole Act (Act No. 14/2013), to the People’s Majlis for reconsideration.
The Bill was passed by the People’s Majlis on March 30, 2015.
In a letter sent to the Speaker of the People’s Majlis returning the Bill, the President detailed the main issues noted by the Attorney General regarding the Bill.
