One of the elder and respected citizen of the island Feeali has said that the people of the island will never accept any oppression of the government against the Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, he said that the people of Feeali believe that Gasim Ibrahim is the “Father” of the people.
“No one who has faith in Allah will ever want to see their father being oppressed. That is impossible. The people will not remain silent regarding these injustices. We will never forget the generosity of Gasim Ibrahim and his continuous help,” he said.
Ahmed Manik said that the people of Feeali will not tolerate any tyranny against Gasim whether it is from the government or any other people.
“We have people with different political ideologies in the island. That is the case in all islands. However, all of the people of this island supports and respects Gasim Ibrahim. They will pay their respects and the rights of Gasim Ibrahim regardless of their political ideology. Gasim Ibrahim is a philanthropist and a leader who helps the people regardless of the person’s party affiliations. The love for Gasim Ibrahim has nothing to do with the party system,” he said.
Ahmed Manik said that the PPM members of the island dissolved the PPM branch of the island and resigned in this regard.
