Dhiggaru By-Election to elect a member of the Peoples’ Majlis for the constituency has been preponed and scheduled to be held on 6th of June.
According to the Elections Commission if a second round of the election is to be held then it will be held on 13th of June.
Dhiggaru seat became vacant with the Supreme Court sentencing Ahmed Nazim for 25 years in prison.
PPM is trying to appoint a candidate to run for the constituency election.
It is believed that the opposition will be working together. The election is going to be very competitive.
