President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has inaugurated Super Specialist service in the Maldives.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Wednesday evening, at the Islamic Centre.
At the ceremony, President Yameen handed over agreement copies to the overseas hospitals contributing to the super specialist programme.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the CEO of NSPA, Mujuthaba Jaleel said that this is a very important matter included in the manifesto of President Yameen.
He said that the locals can receive better medical attention in the islands through this program without having to come to Male'.
He added that, in addition to the 9 hospitals taking part in this program, other hospitals interested in participating in this program will be given the opportunity accordingly.
