The Imam on Friday has stated that the Fajr prayer is the key to a blessed day and if the day is not started with the Fajr prayer then there will be no blessing on that day.
Imam Sheikh Abdul Latheef made this remark during the Friday sermon he gave at Masjid Mohamed Thakurufanu.
He said that the Prophetic tradition states that waking up at dawn is from the blessings on this Ummah.
He also said that the Prophet also sent his troops during war at morning time. Even if there is any important transaction to be made he used to send during the morning time.
The Imam said that those who stay awake during the night and sleep at the time of Fajr prayer will be deprived of this blessing. He said that they will be deprived of this great sustenance.
“If you’re attached to Allah, you see Fajr as more important than the rest of the day’s affairs all put together! You find peace in praying it and it motivates you to rise again, creating a positive cycle. Being productive as a Muslim is all about breaking bad cycles and starting good ones,” he said.
