Addu City Meedhoo constituency MP Rozaina Adam has said that the Police will not earn the trust of the people as long as Hussein Waheed remains as the Commissioner of Police.
MP Rozaina Adam made this remark speaking at the public rally held last night at Addu City by the “Maldivians against tyranny” movement.
She said that CP Hussein Waheed has politicized the Police institution. She said that the Police now works in the same fashion as a political party.
However, Rozaina noted that there are still national Police in the police force who are sincere.
In addition to this, the Meedhoo MP said that that there are many unfulfilled promises of the government to the people of Addu City.
“Not one project has been started by the government. All that they are doing is working on those projects commenced during President Nasheed’s government. And none of these projects seem to reap any results. The water supply project is on hiatus,” she said.
