Deputy Mayor of Male’ City, Shifa Mohamed has said that the only concern of the councilors regarding the moving of Male’ City Council’s office to Huravee building is the government harassing civil servants to achieve their own political agendas.
Speaking to the press, Shifa said that the toilets are leaking waste water and the whole place is infested with rats.
Shifa said that there is information that three staff of the Gender Ministry suffered from rat poisoning when they worked in Huravee building.
She also said that the finance ministry has not still arranged the budget to cover the costs of transferring everything from Billoorijehige building to Huravee building.
Shifa said that they are now trying to meet the Civil Service Commission as the whole matter involves rights of many civil servants.
