President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has said that foreign investors should be welcomed in Maldives for the nation to prosper and progress.
President made this remark speaking at the ceremony held at Dharubaaruge convention center to introduce “Corporative Residence Visa”.
He said that the Government’s plans for the advancement of the Maldivian economy and urban development by opening more opportunities for foreign investors in the Maldives. He said that there was a time in Maldivian history that the nation was not open for foreign investments.
The President reiterated that the foreign investments are imperative for economic growth, private sector development and wealth creation.
