Aishath Hussein Rasheed, an activist from the youth wing of MDP has said that if the government wants to shed the blood of the youth to end their oppression then they are ready to end it even through that.
She made this remark speaking at the “Maldivians against tyranny” rally held at Villimale’ last night. She said that the Maldivian youth are on streets without any employment opportunities and therefore they will not be benefited by a futsal stadium that the government opens.
Aishath said that the government has failed in fulfilling the electoral oaths that the government made for the youth. She said that the government is using the youth only to achieve their sinister political agendas and thereby destroying them.
She said that employment and education are the most important basic rights of the people. She said that the government instead of providing these rights, the government is making the youth commit crimes.
“Instead of getting them away from crimes they are pushing them into committing crimes. They are enslaving them,” she said.
