President of the Adhaalath Party, Sheikh Imran Abdulla has said that many surprising faces will be seen from the Mayday protest to be held on 1st May against the government.
Sheikh Imran made this remark speaking at RaajjeTV’s “Headline news”. He said that more than 80 percent of the citizenry is expected to participate in the Friday’s mass protest.
Sheikh Imran said that the President Yameen will be obliged to come to mutual discussions with the opposition with the call of more than 80 percent of the citizenry for discussions. He expressed hopes that the tyranny of President Yameen’s government will come to an end too with the protest.
He said that the aim of the Mayday protest is to make the President come to common terms with the opposition and end tyranny.
He added that the opposition is trying to protect the rights of the oppressed. He said that the opposition will not cease to advocate for their rights.
Sheikh Imran said not to be intimidated by the fear mongering tactics of the government to scare the people away from the protest.
He urged tall to participate and be steadfast. He said that all should work together as a team and end the oppression of the government.
