According to information received to some political parties, between 10000 to 15000 people are expected to come to Male’ to participate in the Mayday protest against the government tyranny.
This is more than the number expected to be coming from the islands to Male’ to participate in the protest.
Police Service stated last night that they have received information that many islanders are already coming to Male’ for the protest. They said that Police and Coastguard will be inspecting boats coming from the islands for their safety regulations.
“We ask all people coming from the islands to do everything according the law and not go beyond it. And our request is to make prior arrangements for their accommodation and food,” the police stated.
