Meedhoo constituency MP, Rozaina Adam has said that the ignorance of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom regarding mutual consultation is not a reason to use police brutality against the people.
Rozaina made this remark in a tweet she posted today. She made this remark while the President recently stated that the government had done nothing that needs to consultation but it is the opposition who are seeking consultation from the government.
While many gathered in Male’ including many people who came from the islands, Police have been using force to disperse the crowds.
Police so far has used stun guns, pepper spray, rubber bullets and tear gas against protestors.
