Maldives Police Service has apprehended three protestors from the protest held last night against the government tyranny.
The protest was held at artificial beach area. A team of SO police entered the premises and arrested Sobah Rasheed while he was addressing the protestors.
With the arrest of Sobah, the protestors marched from Majeedhee Magu towards the west of capital Male’ City.
Many joined the protest by then and the protestors stopped at the corner of Ali kilegefanu Magu. Within five minutes the police came and dispersed the protest by using pepper spray.
According to Police media three people were arrested including a woman. Among the arrested includes former Education Minister of Nasheed’s regime, Dr. Mustafa Luthfee.
