Jumhooree Party has stated that the party leader, Gasim Ibrahim is a person who believes in dialogue and mutual discussions to resolve problems.
Jumhooree Party’s Registrar, Ahmed Saud said that Gasim Ibrahim is one the very few pioneers who promoted democratic reform in the Maldives. And he is one of the most inspirational and most patriotic leader in the country today who is ready to do whatever is necessary within the law for the sake of the people.
He said that Gasim is ready to hold discussions with the government and others to bring an end to the political problems in the Maldives. He said that he has tried to resolve these problems through discussions.
Ahmed Saud said that it is very likely that the government of President Yameen will fail and collapse if they continue rejecting the calls to discussion.
“The reason is that President Yameen came to power because the people elected him. It is not possible or easier to continue ruling the country without the consent of the people,” he said.
Ahmed Saud urged the government to compassionately listen to the demands and pleas of the people.
