Jumhooree Party leader, Gasim Ibrahim has said that his party is ready to hold discussions with the government.
Gasim made this remark in a series of tweets he posted yesterday. He welcomed President Yameen's call on the opposition to engage in discussions, for the benefit the nation.
Jumhooree Party’s Deputy Leader Ameen Ibrahim also welcomed the President’s call for discussions between the government and the opposition.
Ameen said the gates of Jumhooree Party are always wide open for discussions in that which will benefit the nation and the people.
“We are always seeking for discussion between all. Government should always be the one to take the initiative. There is no reason for the government to not take this initiative,” he said.
He said that he is happy that if the government is now ready to hold discussions with the parties.
