Galolhu Uthuru constituency MP Eva Abdulla has said that the current government has no human rights policy.
She made this remark speaking at the penal discussion regarding the report issued by the Human Rights Commission of the UN.
Eva said that there is not a single individual who heard President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom speaking of any human rights policy despite the talks of human rights policy of Maldives by the foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon at the UN.
She said that the credibility of the policies that Dunya spoke of are in question as she was not preceded by the President.
Eva said that the member states questioned regarding the arrest of former President Mohamed Nasheed because they all knew that the court process was unfair and politically motivated.
