Indian Tourism Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma has visited the National Museum.
In his visit, conducted Wednesday, he met with Education Ministry’s Deputy Minister YumnaMaumoon. Education Ministry is in charge of administering and maintaining the Museum. The two had held discussions on how to strengthen the cultural bond that exists between the two nations.
Dr. Sharma had observed the Museum and enquired on the culture of the Maldives.
India had extended aid to Maldives in protecting the culture, heritage and restoration of aged mosques in Maldives.
