Maldives Police Service (MPS) has stated that the institution was prepared for the Friday mass rally and that they were given assurance that officers of Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) would be active in assisting Police.
MPS and MNDF had held discussions regarding Friday’s mass rally. In the meeting MPS had shared their response plans with MNDF and discussed on the role MNDF is to play for the day.
