Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has announced that the Party will hold a parade on Friday to mark the 10th anniversary of the Party.
Speaking at a press conference held yesterday, MDP Vice President Mohamed Shifaz stated that this parade will be held in all the atolls in addition to Male’. He added that this was not a march but a parade and therefore, many activities will be carried out within the parade.
“This is not a walk. This is an orderly parade, with many activities, to mark the historic milestone,” Shifaz said. Shifaz stated that a video presentation on the formation of the Party will be displayed and leaflets will be distributed as well. He also stated that additional information regarding the parade will be made public soon.
Shifaz appealed to all members of the Party to engage and contribute to the activities held to mark the occasion.
MDP was formally incorporated on 26th June 2005.
