Another person has died from dengue fever last Friday night.
It was reported to Miadhu that the deceased was an 18 year old woman.
It was also reported that she was recently married and that she was two months pregnant at the time of her death.
IGMH reported that she was admitted in the hospital Thursday and even at that time her fever was very high. Tests confirmed that she was positive for dengue.
Health Protection Agency had appealed all to be wary of the spread of dengue and called on all to seek medical attention if one gets a fever. The Agency also called on all to take measures to prevent the spread of mosquitos as dengue was spread by mosquitos. Additionally, the Agency called on all to lend support to the various Government agencies in carrying out such an endeavor.
