Saudi Hajj Ministry reported that out of this over five million were from abroad while over 42,000 had arrived by sea route.
Saudi authorities report that this figure is a 40 percent rise compared to the statistics of the same period last year. Mecaa’s Governor Prince Khalid Al Faisal has been carefully monitoring the condition of pilgrims. The Committee on Pilgrim Affairs estimate that around 25 million will travel between Mecca and Jeddah in the 30 days of Ramadan.
