A special baibalaa tournament, courtesy of President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom and Vice President Ahmed Adeeb, is scheduled to begin on the 4th of this month. Registrations are now open for the tournament, which is titled as the Minivan 50 Baibalaa Tournament.
A new set of regulations will be applicable for the entire tournament.
Bailbalaa Association reported that the champions of the tournament will be awarded MVR 100,000. The Association also reported that in addition to Mr. Baibalaa other awards will be given to the participants.
Baibalaa is popular amongst the youth. The Association stated that over 1,200 youth, including officials and players are taking part in the ongoing National Baibalaa Tournament.
