Attorney General Mohamed Anil has stated that the latest amendments made to the laws of the state will be published within three months.
He made the statement speaking Friday night in Hotel Jen to mark the seventh anniversary of implementation of the current Constitution. Anil added that the Dhivehi version of the amendments will be published in three months, with the English translations published within six months. He also added that the Dhivehi and English translations of the laws will be made available on the international portal.
Anil stated that the publications is a source of national pride. He also added that these publications will make it easier to cross check references. He added that there were many legal issues stemming from the lack of an updated references and cited that lawyers face many issues in conducting their cases due to this reason.
