President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has on Tuesday ratified the Second Amendment to the “Road Traffic Act” (Act no. 2009/5).
Under the amendment all the pending previous fines laid on violating of traffic rules will be wiped out.
Following ratification, the Bill has been published in the Government Gazette.
