Chef’s Guild of Maldives’ President Maryam Noordheen has stated that the aim was to take part in the 2016 Culinary Olympics in Germany.
Speaking to Miadhu, Maryam Noordheen stated that they have been able to spot new talent from the International Culinary Challenge. She added that the Guild was part of the International Chef’s Guild and therefore, eligible to take part in the Olympics. Noordheen noted that with some training a team can be compiled that can take on the Olympics. She added that she hoped that the Government would take an interest in the event.
Noordheen stated that over 450 individuals took part in the challenge, with over 200 taking part in the quick fire challenge. Noordheen also stated that she had always been interested in developing human resources and will work to do so. She noted that the resorts provide assistance in the project.
