Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizz has revealed that the agreement for the harbors of 40 islands have been signed so far this year.
Speaking in yesterday’s Parliament session, Dr. Muizz stated that work on harbors of 19 islands were completed, with work on 28 islands in various stages of completion along with 12 islands in various levels of Environment Impact Assessment. Therefore, agreements of harbor construction for 40 islands have been signed this year.
“Therefore, harbors of 19 islands were completed. 40 islands’ harbors are under agreement. 17 islands are on tender. 57 islands are under various stages of harbor construction process, in addition to the completed 19 islands,” Dr. Muizz said.
