President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has described late Abdulla Hameed as an irreplaceable asset, and said that the passing away of late Abdulla Hameed was a great loss to the nation.
He made the statement on Sunday after he signed the Book of Condolence honoring late Abdulla Hameed.
Highlighting his 56 years of invaluable services, the President noted the great contributions made by late Abdulla Hameed, in the different areas of development of the Maldives. President noted that
contributions made by Abdulla Hameed in his tenure as former Speaker of the People’s Majlis and former Minister of Atolls Development and stated that his service will not be forgotten.
Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor also signed the Book of Condolence honoring Abdulla Hameed. The Book of Condolence is displayed in the Parliament.
