Health care needs to be developed to create trust for the service: Faisal
Kaashidhoo Member of Parliament Faisal Naseem has stated that the public had no faith in the health sector due to the low quality.

MP Faisal said that those Maldivians who go abroad for medical treatment go there not for the surroundings, but for the trusted quality service and only as the last resort. However, in the event they seek medical treatment abroad, they can also carry out other tasks such as shopping.

Faisal said that the talk of improving the sector is oft debated but rarely acted on. He said that the sector can only improved by understanding the real issues that face the sector. He added that it should be the responsibility of the MPs to seek out substantial solutions for such issues, especially when such initiative involves public finances. Faisal urged all MPs to seek speedy solutions for the issue.

Faisal said that in spite of Aasandha and Madhana services, public still lacked access to healthcare in the case of life threatening complications. He noted that this has been seen on social media appeals and urged to find a solution for the issues.
