The Secretary General of the Japan – Maldives Parliamentary Friendship League Madam Yuko Obuchi has called on Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon Friday t in Tokyo.
At the meeting held, Minister Dunya, thanked Madam Obuchi for the warm welcome extended by the Government of Japan and conveyed good wishes from the Government and people of the Maldives to the Government and the people of Japan.
Minister Dunya also remarked the value attached by the Government of Maldives in respect of the bilateral ties that exist between the two countries, and highlighted the attributes of shared values, and mutual respect, that underlie the close relations.
Minister Dunya was accompanied by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Khaleel, Ambassador of Maldives in Japan and Ms. Aishath Azeema, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
