President departs on official trip to some local islands

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this morning departed on an official trip to some islands in South Miladhummadulu Atoll, and North and South Maalhosmadulu Atolls.

During his tour of the islands, the President will officially open the new power stations of the islands. President Yameen is being accompanied by Minister of Environment and Energy, Thoriq Ibrahim, Leader of Maldives Development Alliance and Member of Parliament for Meedhoo constituency, Ahmed Shiyam Mohamed, Member of Parliament for Ungoofaaru constituency, Jaufar Dawud and Ali Mauroof,Member of Parliament for Kendhikulhudhoo constituency
