State Trading Organization (STO) has stated that the alleged messages sent on behalf of the company, stating that their flour imports were chemically infested, were untrue.
STO stated that all their imports were entered into the local market after required permits for the products were obtained from the relevant Government authority. Additionally, STO also stated that their products were maintained at a certain quality.
STO denied that the messages on social media were sent by the organization and added that if the organization had any message to send, they would do so publicly.
This is the first time a report had surfaced that STO products were chemically infested. The largest importer of basic food items, STO had strived to maintain continuous supply of their products, safely and securely.
