Dhiraagu has been appointed as the official telecom partner of the Maldives Open 2015, which is organized by Maldives Body Boarding Association, from the 13th to the 16th of this month in Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi.
Maldives Body Boarding Association’s President Abdullah Areef and Dhiraagu’s Manager Market Communications and PR Mohamed Mirshan Hassan signed the agreement on behalf of the two entities.
The association reported that Maldives open boasts a total prize purse of $15,000 USD in three divisions; Men’s Open, Women’s Open, and Bodyboarding Open and is held in cooperation with the Asian Surfing Championship (ASC) and the Maldives Tourism Ministry.
In this years’ tournament, surfers from Australia, South Africa, Indonesia, Philippines, Dubai, USA, France, Germany, Japan and Dominican Republic are set to compete.
