The recent changes made by the Government on the official holidays had affected many. The dates were changed after Saudi Arabia issued a decree stating that they had not been able to witness the new moon for month of Zul Hajja.
Many had brought tickets to go the islands, many of which were not refundable or transferrable. Many holiday makers had expressed concerns over their plans.
President’s Office had declared that the 20th, 21st and the 22nd of this month as working days. The first date of the holiday is now the 23rd of September and the 27th had been declared as a holiday as well.
