Judicial Services Commission has passed to retire High Court Judge Abbas Shareef on account of his health effective from 1st October 2015.
The commission stated on Thursday that they had made the decision after Judge Abbas submitted letters from his doctor citing his medical conditions and current incapacity to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
The commission’s ruling stated that they had made the decision on the basis of the commission’s laws on voluntary retirement and mandatory retirement and will be effective from 1st October onwards.
Following the Commission’s decision, Abbas has now been shifted to Addu City.
