The Hotel Asia Exhibition and Culinary challenge 2015 organized by Maldives Exhibitions has opened.
The Exhibition, which will run from Saturday to the 21st, was opened by Health Minister Irthisham Adam.
Speaking the opening ceremony, Minister Irthisham stated that it was vital that such exhibitions were held in the country and stressed that quality and health standards have to be of exceptional quality. She added that the Maldives was open for business and that the Government had placed significant priority on encouraging foreign investment.
Minister Irthisham said that such expos raised the profile of the country and the country’s tourism sector and is a boon to the businesses and resorts.
Seven nations from Asia and Europe have taken part in the Expo, with over 400 chefs taking part in the international culinary challenge.
