Over 2 million complete Hajj
Over 2 million pilgrims have completed their Hajj.

Various media sources report that the amount thronged in Arafat plains was between 2.6 and 3 million. The temperatures soared near 47 degrees Celsius. The pilgrims had departed to Muzdhalifah at sunset.

Spending the Hajj day on the plains of Arafat is the pinnacle of the Hajj. A pilgrim wishing to complete the Hajj must spend the day in Arafat. Even though other rituals of Hajj can be completed by a proxy or by other means but this does not apply to spending Hajj day in Arafat.

In today’s sermon, Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Asheikh called on all muslims to work towards rectifying their mistakes and errors. He called on leaders of Islamic nations to prioritize on justice and added that the muslim youth had a key role in presenting islam to the world.

Sheikh added that islam was not a religion of extremes and stressed that no muslim can act against the means set by God. He also warned muslims to be wary of terrorist groups.

Mecca’s Governor Prince Faisal was also present today in Namira mosque, where he was warmly greeted by other pilgrims.
