Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim has stated that if anyone wished to destroy the Government it would be in the best interest of that person to leave the Government.
He made the statement speaking in Sunday night’s Fasmanzaru program on VTV.
Minister Thoriq assured that all MPs are in solidarity with President Abdullah Yameen adding that even former coalition partners, such as Qasim Ibrahim were in solidarity with the President.
Thoriq said that had he been the defense minister at the time of the explosion aboard the Presidential speedboat, he would have resigned immediately. He said that if a minister cannot attend to the top priority assignments then the best option for that minister will be to resign.
He added that the root cause of the explosion needed to be discovered and the perpetrators brought to justice. If not, he predicted that such incidents will occur in the future, damaging both tourism and national economy.
