Two weapons from Hinbalhidhoo lagoon from MNDF Armory
MNDF have revealed that two weapons; the AK T65 Assault Rifle, and the MP5 Submachine Gun, found at the Hinbalhidhoo lagoon on the 30th of October, were infact their own, missing from the MNDF Armory.

At a press conference today, captain Ali Ihusaan informed that MNDF is currently carrying out an audit of their armory, and that they can confirm the two weapons were from their own armory. But still they were unable to guarantee whether the 9mm bullets were also taken from their armory.

Captain Ihusaan said that the protocol that was being followed earlier allowed the officer in charge to remove items from the armory.

He said that they were investigating this leak from the armory, and that action will be taken against those responsible for this.

Furthermore, he said that the armory protocol has been revamped and updated following international best practice, and that he can confirm to the public that such an incident will not occur in the future.
