“Our holiday has been delightful. Going as planned,” one of the holiday makers said.
Their travel plan was to spend a week in Hulhumale’, five days in Vilimale’ and two days in Male’. They were currently spending their last days in the Country, staying in Male’ for two days.
They said that they had spent 13 days in the country and had faced no cause for concern. The city was peaceful and they were content.
“We hear from media reports that there is political disturbances. Even in our country there are political issues. It can get to the point where we cannot walk on the road. We didn’t see this in Male’,” they said.
They said that as the island was small, they had to go everywhere by foot. Every person they met, addressed them with a smile and with courtesy and were extremely helpful when clarifying directions.
