Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim has stated that the current Government is one that is more than capable of financing and running the development projects.
He noted the successes made by the Government in the past two years in the renewable energy sector. Thoriq said that the current Government is not one to seek out public adulation and publicity based on empty promises.
Minister Thoriq said that the renewable energy projects in the country were run with the assistance of foreign partners and will be continued in the future as well.
Minister Thoriq added that with the Chinese project to generate clean energy systems in three islands, which will generate half of the energy needs for Addu City.
