Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowment,Dau’wa and Guidance of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh SalihBin Abdul AzeezBin Mohamed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh has stated that Knowledge is the most important factor in protecting and bequeathing Islam for future generations.
.The Saudi Islamic Minister had made the statement today during his visit to the Islamic University of Maldives. He also noted the importance of both teaching and learning.
The Minister said that Allah Almighty firstly teaches prophets the holy book and knowledge and the most virtuous way to spread Allah’s word was through education. “this is known from Holy Quran and the holy book also contains the dua for gaining knowledge. Allah Almighty has taught prophets the dua to gain knowledge and is the dua which is most said. Every good knowledge is something which will guide the person towards the right path.”
He said that every person should work to spread knowledge and that this something Prophet Mohamed (SAW) also did.
He said that Holy Quran, the Sunnat of Prophet Mohamed (SAW) and his way of living and the important pillars of Islam can be protected through knowledge.
“Allah Almighty has promised to protect the Holy Quran, but we need to protect it by teaching, protecting so that it reaches the future generations. So teaching is necessary for bequeathing Islam for coming generations.”
