Participants of the “Fish Agri Expo 2015” have said that more expos of this nature are essential to their businesses.
Speaking to Miadhu, participants of the Expo said that they were given a proper advertising and marketing platform from the Expo. They said that if they were given an annual platform similar to the Hotel Asia exhibition, they will be able to expand their businesses.
A Sri Lankan business said that with the participation in the Expo, they have been able to find more sales opportunities.
Some of the participants stated that if markets, especially resort markets were found for local produce, they will be able to capitalize on the market and earnings.
Fisheries and Agriculture Ministry have instated many programs to ensure that farmers and fishermen were given fair prices for their products.
