Health Minister Irthisham Adam has said that the Ministry has been checking the standards of service provided at clinics.
She said that teams from the Ministry had already visited 40 clinics and checked on the services provided there.
Speaking on the service upgrades of government hospitals in Male’ area, Minister Irthisham said that Vilimale’ Health Center had been upgraded to a third tier hospital. She also noted that Hulhumale’ Hospital services had been upgraded to include dental services. She added that the new laboratory in IGMH is nearing completion.
Minister Irthisham said that gynecologists are available in all atolls except for Vaavu atoll and was working to find gynecologists for the atoll.
