Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali has questioned the intentions of the opposition with regards to the protest to be held on the 27th of this month.
Speaking in the ceremony to welcome two new Parliamentarians and three Councilors to ruling PPM, Muaz questioned on what the opposition was trying to achieve, by marching for “liberation”.
Pointing at the various work carried out by the Government in the past two years, Muaz questioned if the opposition was trying to liberate themselves from the development and progress.
He asked whether if the opposition was trying to liberate from Aasandha serviced pharmacies and hospitals across the nation, the bridge project, education opportunities given to students or the Government’s insistence on the rule of law.
Speaking to Miadhu, Muaz stressed that the Government will not bow down to the pressures to revert a legal and valid sentence on one who had been convicted of terrorism and other crimes. He urged all citizens to carefully reflect on what the opposition was really calling to liberate from.
