STO Medicals General Manager Hussain Sabah has stated that construction work on the six story godown for STO Medicals is expected to begin in January.
Speaking to Miadhu, Hussain Sabah said STO is the main supplier for medication for the 186 pharmacies opened by the company and various hospitals in the country. Sabah said that given the scope of their distribution, storing medication is a key issue.
Sabah said the tender process was already underway and the company is expected to announce for a contractor in January.
Sabah added that once the project was completed, the company will not face issues such as storage of medication at different temperatures. Sabah added that the company was seeking to provide required medication by directly purchasing from the manufacturer, in order to minimize the costs.
