Finance Ministry has revealed that a special committee has been formed to review the reports issued by the Auditor General’s Office.
Speaking to PSM, Finance Minister Abdullah Jihad said that the Ministry was not a court, but the Committee will investigate administrative measures that can be enacted. He added that the measures will be implemented soon.
Auditor General had released nearly 300 reports since 2007, with the reports showing billions. However, many have criticized the Government’s inability to act on the reports.
ACC had said at the start of this year, the commission will be investigating many major cases. However, at the end of the year, serious questions have been raised on what the commission had actually investigated. ACC President this term is Hassan Luthfee.
