Camp carried out by Islamic Ministry concludes
The education camp run for students from Male’ schools by Islamic Ministry, Education Ministry and Maldives Police Service in Feydhoofinolhu has been concluded.

The certificate awarding ceremony was held Monday evening in Islamic Centre. Civil Service Commission’s President Dr. Ali Shameem was the chief guest of the ceremony.

Speaking on behalf of the instructors, Camp Chief Inspector Police Staff Sergeant Mahmood Ibrahim said that the camp was run based on the guidelines and targets issued by the Islamic Ministry.
He said that Islamic values, ethics, conduct and historical accounts of figures from Islamic history were taught in the camp.

“Students were taught respect, road manners, respect for leaders, parents, eating habits and the like,” he said.

Mahmood said that every day the camp began with morning prayers, recitation of quran, which was followed by physical training.

“I have to note that the participants of the camp do not miss their five daily prayers. They have demonstrated even in the middle of sessions that prayer is the first priority for them,” he said.
Mahmood appealed to the participants of the camp to maintain the values they have enriched over the course of the camp.

This is the first such camp run by Islamic Ministry.
